Maya Angelou´s Bold Poetry

A tragic incident occurred in Maya Angelow's life. She is a 7 year old child. In other words, she is just the average age of the first grade. She suffered sexual assault and was raped by her mother 's boyfriend. Maya is not allowed to see her mother often, it is unbelievable, and this should only happen when she should be very happy and enjoy herself. Maya is far away from her mother, usually living in her grandmother. These visits are rare, at least.
