Biblical scholar Matthew Henry (and others) pointed out that the Bible verses (Numbers 6: 24-26) on which this prayer is based told the Trinity as shown in the New Testament. The Lord has been mentioned three times, but each time there is a different kind of blessing. The first is protection of God and my father. The next blessing includes that the face of God (in Christ) is benevolent (forgiveness on the cross cross). The last line is the grace of peace. Here, this can be compared with the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. And it falls to Jesus like a pigeon. (Matthew 3: 15-17) God's peace ("Shalom") is essentially "gentle" and not silent, it is a gift about health, happiness, the whole.

This blessing is called "Nesiat Kapayim" in Hebrew and is done by Kohanim in synagogues. These priests are direct descendants of Aaron (Moses' brother). This article is a quotation from Chapter 6: -
