As the book continues, these boys seem to be more or less matured in books, sometimes spiritually older, young and changing their roles. Phineas said to Jean: "Let's go to the river together." John Knowles began studying at Phillips ยท Exeter University at the age of 15. This is a famous boarding school in New Hampshire. Exeter is very similar to the imaginary school German he mentioned in the novel 'Peace of Independence'. Knowles graduated in 1945; however, he immediately did not go to the university. As part of the US Army Air Force Aviation program, he participated in the war. Then he went to Yale and graduated in 1949 when he traveled to Europe and served as a reporter. Then he returned to the United States in the mid-1950's, where he began to study 'independent peace'.

He is emotionally safe, and he has many features that Finney has. Conversion is relevant in books. There is no way to avoid changing. Sometimes the change gets better, sometimes getting worse. It is up to the reader to decide whether the change in 'separation of peace' is good or bad.
