In mathematics, SJIC achieveers are also leaders at all levels. Students from the fourth grade to the eighth grade every year are mathematical problem solving contests aiming to evoke passion and love for mathematics, introduce important mathematical concepts, and teach important strategies for problem solving I will participate in elementary and middle school mathematics Olympic Games. M - DCPS SECME organizes the annual engineering Olympic Games for secondary school and engineering festival for elementary school. The Math Olympiads program (moems.org) was founded in 1977, and the monthly competition is competed in remote areas mainly by the student teams of 4 to 8 years. Mathematical Olympic Games are usually used in elementary and junior high school math clubs. The program holds five games every month during the standard grade. Teachers and team leaders receive annual competitive solutions and other materials. Students and teams receive certificates, medals or trophies based on the results in each game.

Science Olympiad is a group competition for high school students (Science Olympics called Group B) and high school students (Group C) students. This guide focuses on the High School Science Olympics, but most of the information applies to Groups B and C. There are over 7,000 scientific Olympic teams in the whole country now. The school team has up to 15 members to participate in regional, state and national competitions. Teams can have alternative members, but will not compete except in special circumstances (details of alternate members will be discussed in the next section).
