Mass shootings are an American problem. There’s an American solution.

On a terribly painful day like Monday, I thought it was important to remind ourselves that large shooting would rarely happen except in the United States. It's essential as it gradually returns to standardized large-scale executive killings like Sandy Hook, Charleston, Orlando, and now Las Vegas.

Scholars studying masculinity and massive shooting cases were concerned that large shooting cases were not the only social problem in the United States. They are problems of American men. We have previously argued that there are two problems that need to be explained with regard to gender and group shootings. First of all, why are men almost committing large-scale shooting incidents? Second, why do men in America have large shooting somewhere in the world? Social psychologists have a theory called "the threat of social identity", which has been studied in a broad sense.
