Divorce is a legal separation of a couple, the most common reason is misfortune and distrust among the two spouses. Poverty is the state of extreme poverty, lack of funds, goods, and support. In this article I will explain the impact of low-income couples and income, especially the income of poverty on divorce rates. Studies have shown that poor families are more likely to divorce due to psychological stress. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of the spouse's cultural background on the leisure time (couples and individuals) and couple's satisfaction of the couple of Korean-American and Eastern European Americans. In particular, the study examined leisure activities in improving satisfaction between married couple and issues faced by intercultural alliances related to the role of leisure. We collect data through a one-on-one detailed interview. The results show that sharing leisure time is an important part of cross-cultural couple's marriage satisfaction. Leisure enables them to foster common interests and to provide healthy communication and fun time opportunities. Spouses are faced with specific problems related to differences in their social behavior in their native languages, communication methods, and leisure.
