We will develop scheduling problems for consistently managing each manufacturing resource including machine tools, assembly robots, AGV, warehouse, material shelves and so on. Manufacturing resources fall into three categories: producers, locations, and moving companies. In this article, pay special attention to the role of the buffer and analyze the differences between these types. The unified scheduling formula comes from the analysis of the analysis based on the role of the resource. Enterprise resource planning or ERP software originated from Material Resource Planning (MRP) and later became Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II) in the 1980s.
