Manufacturers of Critical Computer Components, AMD, a Massive Player in the Tech Industry

Business Application Task 2: AMD The next article briefly describes AMD, which plays an important role in the technology industry. First, I will explain AMD's overall business strategy, including mission statement, overall goal as a company, efforts to social responsibility. Furthermore, we will analyze the company's leadership structure and the organization as a whole in detail. This survey includes employee-centered policies, especially recruitment and training.

Industry suppliers' ability is relatively high. The two main components are the computer's operating system and CPU. These two components are provided by their respective industries and are more integrated than the PC industry. Intel and AMD account for more than 80% of the CPU market, and Microsoft accounts for 90% of the operating system market. There are few alternatives to these input devices. When making changes to the choice of the operating system or CPU chip, the company will make specialized investments in the relationship, resulting in a large conversion cost. Those companies have few threats to forward integration, but from the advantage of the market, you can claim additional fee to PC makers. (See Figure 8)

Computer hardware manufacturer AMD found this problem at the beginning of the big data revolution. For a long time, they have focused on building components for enterprises. However, the market is quite old, they have lost contact with consumer market needs, I think that they will accept only the items that they were relocated. However, when AMD considered actual consumer sentiment, they found something very different. Social media tells them that customers need the original power from the components to perform the latest games. The company has undergone a transition to a semi-game brand and now we are releasing products for lovers' game market.

Modular computers are designed to simplify non-technical PC upgrades. Razer Inc, specializing in computer manufacturing in the game market, has demonstrated its modular concept at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). This concept is a tower that can accommodate ports of all types of modular components, such as graphics cards, hard drives, and even Blu-ray players. Origin PC is also a custom PC manufacturer, and by demonstrating the concept of that module, owners can place internal components such as motherboards, graphics cards, and hard drives in various directions. Once this trend is resolved, it adds a different level of customization to the PC, simplifying the build and upgrade process.
