Mando Diao – To China with Love

A French curator said to you, "You are not a Chinese artist very much." In fact, I did not think that I was a Chinese artist. For curators, "Chinese Americans" is not a complete identity, but it is an intermediate between two unique cultures and is not completely stopped. Diao's work visually reflects the combination of black and white color scheme and American visual style / media and Chinese content. I can not deny that I have to work very hard to come up with a famous Asian American artist I studied in my college days. In Kuwahara, Ai Weiwei, Yayoi Kusama are famous Asians, but they are not Asian American artists. Perhaps Nam June Paik, he did not go to the United States until he was in his 30's early. The lack of this expression is not only in art but also in movies, television, music and mass media.

I took the camera to the Swedish band Mando Diao's concert and I fell in love with the concert photo. So when I got home I felt "I have to do it again" and I started a concert photo company named Rockfoto. Since then, I have won a prize for my concert photos, and rock photos soon became an agency for Scandinavian major concert photos, yet still. I have photographed more than 3,500 concerts over the years, but I do not do it very frequently now. I still like that! Mother, you are actually right. If I want to work in Central America / career career, both No. 1 and 3 are great. I like this language, because I love this culture, I will work with Chinese people at sometime or go back to China, or ordinary business definitely (China is crazy, but is tiring place ).
