The nature that people depend on the whole universe is considered to be the true source of happiness in their lives. This spectacular natural scenery is highly appreciated by most people. However, the development of the world does not seem to make people correctly recognize the creation of the great God now. Both Emerson and Thoreau believe that it is necessary to learn to live in harmony with nature without destroying nature in order to live a happy life, so for people to live happy, A relationship is necessary.
Please compare and contrast the relationship between Emerson and Thoreau human beings and nature. Ralph Waldo Emerson was born on May 25, 1803 and died in April 1882. He is a poet, lecturer, prose writer. Slowly he began to believe in his religion and social beliefs and began to learn philosophy like Plato (a priori, nature). With a philosophical study in mind, he made a speech on "American scholars" in 1837. In 1932 alone, "American scholars" became the most popular magazine, Emerson announced a speech to American people, his speech became a best seller and received many awards.
Through nature Emerson and Thoreau's transcendental qualities are exposed. Both writers are immersed in nature; literally Emerson Through, through his writing. Emerson came up with the idea of how human beings should learn from nature. In his view, nature is worshiped as a sacred entity. Emerson's philosophy is focused on "the god who imposes a pattern on events" (Cayton 58), as seen in the cycle of nature. We should consider "consider nature as a phenomenon rather than a substance, should bring the necessary existence to the spirit, and consider nature as a coincidence and influence" (Emerson). Emerson is also looking at nature as a way to learn about self-character. In his writings, "Nature is brought into the realm of self, human beings are completely blocked from faith in reality other than myself" (Wichor 54)
Author, lawyer, politician George Perkins Marsh is a powerful author of "Man and Nature" published in the 1860's. It is not as familiar as Emerson and Sorrow, but Marsh is an influential voice who thinks that nature is the logic that balances the necessity to utilize nature and the need to protect the resources of the earth. Hayden carefully organized his expedition. And it included not only surveyors and scientists, but also artists and highly talented photographers. A report submitted by the expedition to the conference is a photographic proof that rumors about Huang stone wonders are absolutely correct.
