Signs are very important as some people get lost in the absence of them. The norm is "rules and guidelines on what actions in culture are acceptable and appropriate" (Ferris and Stein 104). According to Ferris and Stein, some specifications are informal and formal. Informal norms are not mentioned, and formal norms are laws or regulations. There are many norms that can not be written, but as human beings people learn them well. Specifically, informal specifications for shopping centers line up to purchase ice cream. People are patiently waiting to buy ice cream, and no one is allowed to cut in front of anyone. Another example of an informal norm is an invasive human space. People are scattered everywhere when walking in shopping streets. Because they are irritated, please do not approach or touch them. Since society teaches people to follow it, there is no need to write down informal norms. Regarding formal norms, they are rules and laws. Official specifications are documented and expected to follow. However, some people will break these rules and laws. Basically, everyone knows that pets can not enter the mall. There is the possibility of being in her early 30's, there are women who take dogs and try to conceal it in her wallet. Of course, the security guard caught her and asked her to leave the mall. She knew that she would not take her dog to the shopping mall, but she did. Then another boy in the mall wearing a jacket wearing a hat broke the rule. Hat with a mask
Another observation of Underhill's shopping center is that there is a decompression zone between the mall's door and the mall's luxury retail store. He pointed out that the entrance of the mall and the shops behind it are usually discreet tenants such as post offices, video game halls, hairdressers, fitness equipment shops. He wrote that this transition phase is one of the most important things he and his researchers understand about how shoppers are moving in the retail environment. He wrote: "There is nothing that can really be registered." So for this transition zone, the best shops in the mall are never near the entrance.
