Mali: An African Nation and Its Rise and Fall

The Mali Kingdom is the wealth, trade and education center of Africa with more than 225 years history. Mari means the Arabic word "Mandinca", which means "where the king lives", it is essential for the spread of trade, education, religion and culture along the Niger river. The rise of Mali became an empire in the early thirteenth century when Sandiauta defeated the enemy and gained control of the gold mine in West Africa. In 1312, Manxamsa became the ruler of Mali. During his reign in Mari known as the 'Golden Age' he introduced Islamic beliefs to many communities along the coast of Niger and strengthened his education after his historic pilgrimage to Mecca Did.
