Thomas Ricks, author of "Made in the Legion", explained the basic military training of the US Marine Corps. The main focus of this book is the platoon 3086 in Paris Island, Pennsylvania in 1995. Their story is about their 11 week training camp training to become a mature ocean. Mr. Rick wrote about the separation of the Marines from American society, he wrote about the difference between the Marines and other parts of the US Army and the boot camp. Marine Corps turns young citizens into value lives how the value of the Marines despises the value of the American society: honor, courage and dedication.
HH: I also thought about the classic works of Tomlix, but Tom is a producer of this show, a production army. It was instructed and trained. At the end of the boot camp, you are an independent, competent person. By the end of the four years at the Marine Corps, you are promoting for the base. JDV: Yes, of course. The strength of the Marine Corps is that you are built on experience and success. So they will give you tasks, and if you succeed, they will give you another one. If you fail, they will yell at you until you grasp it. And I think this is very important. However, it also provides this non-cognitive, non-hard skill guide, which is very important to life.
I am a marine rifle; for those unfamiliar with this role, not everyone in the Marine is an infantry. The slogan "Every Marine is lifleman" is a special old experience for Marines. I am one of new sorrowful veterans. Too deep, my transition is not very smooth. Drugs, excessive drinking, divorce, depression and isolation give me a very negative idea. I believe this world owes something to me because of what I accomplished. I was soon noticed that nobody was meaningless except me.

The Marines change the young citizens to value: honor, courage and dedication. These values have experienced 11 weeks boot camp at each recruiter. According to the Marine Corps, these values are "Corps" of the Corps Corps (p. 55). In American society, not trying to improve oneself as a whole, but first try to improve themselves.
