The monument of Gandhi is inscribed with the inscription "HéRām" ("God") although there is no definitive proof that he will say these words before he dies.

Gandhi was nominated five times for the Nobel Peace Prize, but he never received it. Year of his death, in 1948, the prize was not awarded "Because there was no suitable life candidate for that year"
