TBM will drill a tunnel at the private court, Pune Municipal Corporation, Budhwar Peth, Mandai subway stations, and Shivajinagar site and Swargate site will adopt cut and cover construction method.

"We are planning this work to significantly reduce the cost and inconvenience of the public during construction," another official said.

The structure of the underground work station is a concrete box with a width of 20 meters, a height of 14.6 meters, and a length of 225 meters. Both sides of the box are made of 2 m thick reinforced concrete

When asked about possible damage to utilities, the authorities said they would follow the detailed project report (DPR) guidelines. "To avoid damage during construction, all utilities within the excavation area need to move early, although cross-connect facilities need to be supported," DPR said.

Consultant's recommendation to the project stated that pressure water piping through the proposed cutting area should install valves on both sides of the cutting. This is used to isolate the overflow area from the cutting area when the pipe is damaged during work.
