M.C. Escher

MC Escher MC Escher is a Dutch graphic artist, known for its space illusion, impossible architecture, repetition of geometric patterns (tessellation), and diligence in the areas of woodcut prints and lithography. Born in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, he was the fourth and smallest son of civil engineers. Five years later, my family moved to Arnhem, and Escher spends most of his time here. After failing the high school exam, Moritz finally entered Harlem's architecture and decorative art school. After finishing his studies, he traveled extensively in Italy where he met Jetta Umiker, his wife, who married in 1924. They settled in Rome until 1935. In the past 11 years Escher travels Italy every year to draw paintings and thinks about various prints when returning to the country.

I still have a hard time pursuing construction projects, M · C. Escher moved to Haarlem and started researching architecture and decorative art. A week later in the city, he met artist Jessurun de Mesquita. After seeing the picture of Escher, Mezquita and the school principal suggested that he keep them. In the fall of 1919, he began full-time research on "graphics and decorative art". At this time, he also got a white cat * booger.gif * as a gift from a land woman. The first Escher print by M.C. sold a large amount of "Birds to Pre Birds" which is a woodcut print that Escher claimed as "work like a madman." He completed several logo works and some consignment prints this year. In 1922, in order to find a new inspiration, he decided to go to Italy.
