Louis Zamperini’s Story

This is a brief introduction of Luis Zamperini who sent a wonderful life, was saved with the grace of God. Laura Hillenbrand 's best - selling book "Unbroken: The Survival of World War II, the Story of Recovery and Redemption" tells the story (see comments by Collin Hansen and Tim Challies). What is unbroken is the true story of a promising young Olympic player Louis Zamperini from Torrance, California who served in the Pacific bomber during World War II. During the search and rescue mission, Zamperini and crew aircraft dropped into the Pacific Ocean, and he and the other two survivors drifted in the rain for over 40 days, and they occasionally caught fish and birds. One of the survivors of the crash died in a raft, but another survivor from Zamperini finally approached the land when they were captured by the Japanese Navy. Talk about bitterness!

In 1943, Louis Zamperini was brought into the battle and eventually hit the Pacific Ocean during the search and rescue mission. He is one of only three people who became life raft. "Complete" is an interesting nonfiction novel by Laura Hillenbrand highlighting the life and characteristics of Louis Zamperini who participated in the 1936 Olympics.
