Local Science Olympiad team heading to national competition

Knoxville - On a rainy Tuesday afternoon, students of the Cedar Springs Homeschool Science Olympics are scattered on the floor of the gym of the Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church paired with a pair.

"This gives us a lot of STEM skills and can handle general scientific information that we could not get before entering teams, teams and universities," one of the parent coach Heather Fulghum Said.

Science Olympiad is a group competition for high school students (Science Olympics called Group B) and high school students (Group C) students. This guide focuses on the High School Science Olympics, but most of the information applies to Groups B and C. There are over 7,000 scientific Olympic teams in the whole country now. The school team has up to 15 members to participate in regional, state and national competitions. Teams can have alternative members, but will not compete except in special circumstances (details of alternate members will be discussed in the next section).

Since 1985, at the Science Olympic Games, all teams (up to 15 people) must participate in the Science Olympic Championship (Invitation, Region, State or National) and be a member of the Science Olympic Games. Each school participating in the Primary Science Olympic Championship or Entertainment Day / Entertainment Night needs to purchase the Primary Science Olympic Handbook at the same time. Class A elementary schools do not have national conventions or nationwide fees. After purchasing the Junior Science Olympic Handbook, educators can hold competitions in the region, school district, or region. The Science Olympic Games encourages students to meet current scientific Olympic grades. However, in order to support students who wish to participate in the Science Olympiad, students under the grade level can be invited to students under the grade level.
