Literature Review vs. Essay.

Since the two sentence structures may be based on the same research, it is easy to get confused about the differences between literature review and thesis. However, the main difference is where the focus is.

The purpose of the article is to prove arguments and perspectives using known topics. Not all knowledge on the topic can be used in the article, but it can only be used for discussion. People who refer to knowledge of discovery and development in articles are usually for reference purposes only.

On the other hand, literature review aims to critically analyze all knowledge on topics. Its purpose is to examine all the contents that other people have discovered about that subject, and researchers who study that subject are considered important

At the statement level, one way to emphasize particular aspects of a topic is to place that aspect at the beginning of the sentence and paragraph.

In the article, the focus is on the knowledge itself that is placed before the sentence. For example,

The popularity of computer games and video games has dramatically increased. It is estimated that there are 3 billion hours of game time every week around the world. The main reason for this is that players rarely experience high levels of emotional satisfaction in their daily lives (McGonigal, 2011).

However, in literature review, authors and researchers who discovered or developed information examined what is more important. So they appear at the beginning of the sentence

Jane McGonigal (2011) estimates that there are 3 billion hours of game time every week around the world. According to her survey, this main reason is that it is almost impossible for players to experience high levels of emotional satisfaction in their daily lives.

This does not mean that both types of sentences can be used for both kinds of sentences. However, the general tendency of prose is to emphasize information, but in the case of literary reviews, the trend is to emphasize authors.

Review articles are displayed in literature review, specifically in the form of a systematic review, both of which are in the form of secondary literature. Literature review provides a summary of past publications the authors believe to be the best and most relevant. A systematic review identifies objective lists of criteria and finds all previously published original experimental papers that meet the criteria; and they compare the results of those articles

Literary criticism or narrative review is a criticism article. Literature review is an academic paper that includes current knowledge including substantive knowledge and theoretical and methodological contributions to specific topics. Literature review is a secondary information source and does not report any new or proprietary experimental work. These comments are often related to academic-oriented literature, and they are published in academic journals and should not be confused with book reviews that are also published in the same publications. Literature review is the foundation of research in almost all academic fields. A narrow range of literature review can be used as part of a refereed journal article that places the current research within the subject matter of the relevant literature and introduces new research to provide a background to the reader. In this case, the review is usually done before the work method and result section.
