The status of literature in education is the reason that literature is read. For many of us, such a question seems as strange as asking "Why do you breathe?" As far as we remember, literature is part of our lives, families, schools and communities. Of course, some people think today's students need to prepare for the "real world", but in the process of actually preparing, we ignore the importance of educating students' imagination. Literature not only provides windows of the world beyond student experience but also provides the mirror of the world that they already know.

The research method used in this paper is mainly review of literature in this field. ESL is a language study program in which newcomers are automatically registered in public schools. To the best of my knowledge, the course relies on school frequency and acceptance of ESL students. It ranges from totally useless to a series of organized courses related to mainstream English courses. To the best of my knowledge, there are students who still have ESL in my class. She is a Pakistani girl who lived in Canada for six years and even if she interacts with a person who speaks English, she has few words. I am not sure what happened to her; most young children are involved during a few months of immigration.
