Literary Analysis: "Everyday Use"

In Alice Walker's "Daily Youth", we heard that African-American woman Mama visited her daughter Dee. Mother and her other daughter, Maggie, is still living in poverty in the deep in the south, and Dee embarked on a more successful life. Mom and McGee accept their roots and heritage, and Dee want to be as far away as possible. During my return, Dee concentrated on the quilt. It is the title of this quilt and work that focuses on the concept of integrating your culture into what they mean in their daily life.

Everyday use is one of her popular and exciting short stories about the dilemma of African and American cultural efforts to define personal identity. The story talks about some of the problems forming the conflict between the characters in the story, and everyone has different views. Walker uses the symbol of "quilt" to understand the difference in family heritage between Mama, Magi and Dee, creating a wonderful story.

My mother, a narrator, introduced me to two daughters who have conflicting minds. Mama was disappointed that Dee took action and tension on the behavior she made a difficult decision of quilting. This story is developed as a mother's eldest daughter, Dee, who returned home after graduating from college and began to claim property. Young Maggie never left the house and showed a quiet personality, but her ugly wound covered the sympathy and generosity, so when I was a child I was burned with a severe fire.
