Maryland has an established high - speed interstate highway network, especially in the hallway between Baltimore and Washington, DC. You can swing around Baltimore and Washington with a belt on a ring road or even avoid the east coast route altogether. Harbor Tunnel Highway, Francis Scotty Bridge, Fort McHenry Tunnel is the route through Baltimore Harbor. The Potomac River spans several parts of Washington, and the two bridges pass through Chesapeake, east of Annapolis.
Amtrak offers passenger rail services to Baltimore, residents of Montgomery and Prince George County can travel to Washington, DC with Metro BRT system, and Maryland Rail Commuter Service (MARC) connects Baltimore and Frederick to Washington. Baltimore also established a high-speed commuting and commuting system between Owings Mills and the city center in the northwest suburbs.
