Lincoln Memorial

Washington DC is a wonderful place. This was my first time that I came to Washington DC, I was surprised at all the historic places I met. The existence of monuments and history makes the Parliament House very spectacular. Read-only about the story of the Lincoln Memorial, I had no chance to experience such a glorious place. From far away you can see the magnificent white marble wall of the monument and the many people around. When I arrived at this place, invisible feelings came to me.

The Lincoln Memorial Museum of the Lincoln Memorial was established in commemoration of the 16th President of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln. It is located in the National Mall in Washington DC, opposite Washington Monument. Architect Henry Bacon, sculptor of the main statue - 1920 - Abraham Lincoln - is a Frenchman of Daniel Chester, the painter of the interior mural is Jules Green. It was built in 1922. The building is in the form of the Greek Dolich Temple, which includes Abraham Lincoln 's large seat sculpture and the Gettysburg address and the second inaugural address of Lincoln' s inscription. The monument is the place for many famous speech including Martin Luther King's "I'm dreaming" speech on August 28, 1963.

On the morning of August 28, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King talked about the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial to more than 200,000 people. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the delivery of Gettysburg speech by Lincoln, Kim wants to restore the national crack. The crowd gathered in Washington in March for Jobs and Freedom, a platform for his epoch-making "I dream" speech.
