Lincoln-Douglas Debate

The discussion of Lincoln Douglas in 1858 was a very influential event that occurred in the American history and was still very important today. Discussion is for the Illinois State Senate. The main topic involved in this debate was the separation of labor unions over slavery. Both Lincoln and Douglas mentioned in the remarks on the Constitution of the United States and opposed their interpretation of the meaning of certain parts of slavery.

The Lincoln - Douglas debate is a series of formal political debates between the challenger Abraham Lincoln and the present President Stephen Douglas who took part in one of the two US Senators in Illinois. Although Lincoln was defeated by the elections, these discussions renamed him nationwide and ultimately led him to be elected president of the United States. Lincoln and Douglas agreed to discuss in seven out of the nine Illinois parliament areas; 7 people did not say Douglas. In each discussion, Douglas or Lincoln starts in an hour. Then another person speaks for an hour and a half. There was an objection for 30 minutes for the first time. In the 7th discussion, Douglas as incumbent was previously accepted four times
