Limitations of New Criticism in Carol Ann Duffy’s Little Red Cap

Literature arises from the influence of the outside, the literary form, the fusion of the reader and the author 's intention (Tyson 136). New criticisms assert that only concrete and concrete examples that appear in analysis text can accurately evaluate literary works (135). New criticism discounts author and cultural power to inform the creation of text. New critics believe that the source of external evidence creates intentional mistakes, author's intention as a true meaning of the text, emotional error, and the text is confused with the emotions it creates ( 136-37).

In this article we compare Carol Anne Duffy and Robert Browning 's "My Last Duchess" two verses "Salome" and compare. Carol Ann Duffy's poem "Salome" is probably based on the Biblical account of the New Testament Matthew. A well-established Salome is the daughter of Herodias and Philip, one of the dominant families of Palestine. She danced in front of the ruler Herod Antipas (half Philip brothers and her uncle) and promised to give her something. John the Baptist condemned Herodias as Herod and Herod put him in prison.

For many people, Duffy 's comparison supersedes that gave "red roses" and gave strange things like "onion", so it may be considered initially very open to discussion I do not. However, Duffy has a deep meaning to her and resembles love, so in order to explain how she uses the extended metaphor to make the onion something special, her skill I will use it. This modern Victorian poetry can also be compared with the Shakespearean sonnet and contemporary Carol Anda フ ィ ー poetry. Anne Hathaway plays an loving wife and an adventurous woman at Anne Hathaway's poem "Anne Hathaway". Duffy 's way of demonstrating this is to choose the type of structure she used in poetry. She ended up in a rhyming couple who could use modified Sonnets and think like Shakespeare's Sonnet style. Ultimately, it almost imitates the style used in Shakespeare's sonnet. Because they always rhyme and take a dramatic rhyme. Anne Hathaway was a wife of Shakespeare, so this sonnet style was thought of in her poem. Finally, using this lyric poem highlights the focus of her and his beloved poetry.
