Life coaching is part of the coaching occupation and includes the client's personal life. "Customers often ask for life coaching between one developmental stage and another developmental stage, such as leaving a university, becoming a parent, approaching a middle age, or negotiating retirement" (Grodzki & Allen, 2005, p. 246). It includes coaches who have incentives to move people forward and customers who need to change their motives. There is nothing as bad as a life-less coach without passion. Your coach is not necessarily a bottle of inspiration. In fact, this may seem hypocritical and mandatory. Your life coach does not have to live the way she wishes. She is a man, so she is traveling with her own struggle. But she is anxious that she wants to help you. She should be keen on the coach. Yes, there are burns. Her passion can fluctuate. But, in general, she ought to have a passion to help others. She should have a passion for her crafts. Unlike being a therapist, what you need to become a life coach is to help others and learn about tools and techniques. There is no official Life Steering Committee.
