Life As An HIV/Aids Counselor

Becoming a mental health counselor for people living with HIV / AIDS is a dignified position often distorted or unfounded due to the adverse effects of our society on diagnosis. The main function of the HIV / AIDS counselor is to support infected and infected customers, to listen to their problems, to solve problems and improve their lives. HIV was isolated from 1983 to 1984 and was identified as a source of AIDS. HIV destroys blood cells called CD4 + T cells. This is essential for the human immune system to function properly. Studies of thousands of people show that most people infected with HIV have viruses for many years and then cause sufficient damage to the immune system to develop AIDS.

HIV / AIDS is a major pandemic affecting social welfare in Africa. Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) can cause AIDS, an acronym for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). This is the state that the human immune system does not function, leading to life-threatening infections. Two-thirds of HIV-infected people in the world live in sub-Saharan Africa. Since the epidemic, more than 15 million Africans have died as a result of complications of HIV / AIDS. Religious groups in sub-Saharan Africa and organizations that are active and regularly engaged in religious activities are likely to be at a lower risk of HIV / AIDS. On the other hand, many people believe that infected men can cure infections by having sex with their virgins. These beliefs increase the number of virus holders and increase women's rape.

Sub-Saharan Africa is the region most affected by HIV / AIDS, and in 2008 two-thirds (67%) of the world's HIV / AIDS infected population lived in sub-Saharan Africa . Sub-Saharan Africa has 22.4 million people suffering from HIV / AIDS. Heterosexual exposure is the main form of HIV infection and women are susceptible to HIV. In 2008, there were 4 million AIDS-related deaths in sub-Saharan Africa. The biggest challenge facing the developing world is the epidemic of HIV / AIDS, recognizing that it not only threatens human life but threatens decades of development (Polgar, 2002). This disease attacks and destroys families and communities that place a major economic burden on the economy (World Health Organization, 2010). On a global scale, the most vulnerable groups are the poor, women and girls, prostitutes, drug users, and infected mothers' children.
