Librarians as Advocates

Dobija (2007) clearly studied the problem of the right of the first amendment. Attempts by the government to prevent the leakage of news to its own office and attempts by Congress to interfere with the Internet have hindered open access society from actually exercising the rights of the first amendment . Their policies are causing problems for librarians, educators and frustrated researchers. Congress passed the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) in 2000 to protect children, but for many educators it is more obstacle than aid.

Librarians are leaders to expand online access to academic information. The open access campaign allows all readers to access academic papers online, and the librarian was a strong supporter of sports for over a decade. This type of visit is particularly important when reporting the results of medical research, medical research is usually funded by taxpayers' funds. Librarians are publishers. Scholarly publishers still offer journals and books developed by researchers. However, librarians have taken part in these efforts by becoming publishers themselves. A new librarian-led publishing program makes the most of the web and often offers new works on an open access basis. As an information specialist, librarians are voices and active supporters who open hearts. These librarians believe that open access is expected to provide access to academic records and eliminate price barriers and licensing barriers harming the library's efforts to solve the serial drama crisis. Many library associations signed major open access statements or created their own statements. For example, the Canadian Library Association adopted a resolution on open access in June 2005.

The role and recognition of librarians has changed dramatically, but with current spatial layout it is difficult for customers to find and access librarians and library services. A survey of space in the academic library recently found that 59% of librarian workspaces are not touched by the public. This is a fact. Downgrading librarians to the backstage in the past is a general design strategy for libraries. Most of the currently used scholarly libraries were built before the digitalization of the ocean so that most of the delays in the librarian's workspace design may be due to differences in space and procedures.
