Liberty Defined

Freedom can be defined as freedom from control, imprisonment or detention and can not be hindered by race, class or gender in situations where everyone is equal and can act at every will. Like Olaudah Equiano and Phillis Wheatley's work, freedom is primarily in the concept of slavery, but like a work by Mary Astell, it could be a husband or a living place woman. I first explain the influence of Equiano on slavery and the necessity of freedom.

According to Article 4 of the Declaration of 1789, the most eloquent and most passionate voice of 1789 was those who defended liberty, which were defined as "freedom to do what hurt others." This sentence also defines "human nature and unrestricted rights" as "resistance to freedom, wealth, safety, and oppression". (Article 2) The 1793 Declaration defines these rights as "equality", freedom, security and wealth, freedom and human rights.

British philosopher Isaiah Berlin distinguishes between positive freedom and negative freedom in his essay "two concepts of freedom". He defines negative freedom not to constrain or interfere with the agent's possible behavior. The greater the "negative freedom" the less restrictive the possible actions are. Berlin combines the concept of positive freedom and self-control, or the ability to decide oneself to control his destiny. Positive freedom should be exercised under the constraints of negative freedom.

A philosopher defines freedom as a duplex coin. There are no bans or obstacles. This is called negative freedom and the term negative means a lack of restriction rather than the quality of freedom it refers to. As you can imagine, the other side of the coin is often called positive freedom. This freedom refers to the ability and means for people to control their lives. Active freedom requires individuals to have a certain level of resources while negative freedom basically requires that individuals be alone
