Poetry is an expression of human soul, and even if no one drinks tea, when an individual discovers this special poem, it will move his soul with the poet. There are many poets in the world, but the one I caught my attention was the poet Langston Hughes. I can not cover all the poems he wrote, but I caught my attention was to "make America America again". It first appeared in the brochure titled "New Song" published by Hughes in 1938. This booklet was published by a socialist organization called "International Worker Order" (MLM), and then it was changed to its original name.
Langston Hughes will again make America America's idealism In the poem "Let America be America again", Langston Hughes draws a vivid image of the desolate America in the 1930s. And I got a serious injury. But even if there is such a distance between me and the writer, this poem is a sort of patriotism I feel, a contradiction of American ideals and errors of their execution, and the desire to improve our hometown It completely evokes. I am a privileged person. White, middle class woman. My most recent immigrant 's ancestor was a grandfather from Canada (it was not documented until the 1930' s). As Ronald Cran suggests, I understand that if other people suffer too much, or recent damage, accept the "progressive concept of American exceptionalism". But I hope that if possible, it inspires our hearts and helps our purpose return from the right with patriotism. Remind them of our common foundation
