Legitimate Bastard:Edmund's Soliloquy in King Lear

Shakespeare plays always include attractive characters with many aspects, secrets and narratives. Evil Edmund of King Lear is no exception. He plays a supporting role in drama standards, but he was one of the first characters introduced to the audience at the opening ceremony. He played an important part in King Lear's conspiracy and he himself was positioned as a complex "evil" personality. Compared to Regan and Goneril, Edmund is more embarrassed about his ambitions. Like King Lear, Gloucester also collapsed because his illegal child Edmund was wearing a mask. Gloucester is the father of two sons Edgar and Edmund.
