Roman heritage and Christian Christianity existed about 2000 years ago. Like Judaism, Christianity was born of ambiguity and became a dominant religion of Western culture. At the end of the 4th century the Christianity also became a faith that dominated Rome (Matthew 157). Both Christianity and Rome have had various impacts on Europe. Christianity quickly became an important part of the empire. Between 284 and 476, the Roman civilization underwent two stages. One stage is the reform of Diocletian - the last peak of heathens, the second part - the empire began to collapse after Constantine's reign - the vibrant Christian era.
The third Roman is a virtual successor to the Roman heritage ("First Rome"). The second Roma is usually called Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire, which is informally known as "New Rome", or one of the successors of the Western Roman Empire like the Papal State or the Holy Roman Empire. Known as a theological and political concept of "Moscow is the third Roman", it was founded in the Grand Duchy of Moscow from the 15th to the 16th century.
The ancient Roman civilization left a permanent heritage in world history. In ancient Rome, not only covered a large amount of land at its heyday but also existed nearly 1000 years. Today, in the fields of government, law, language, architecture, engineering, religion, the ancient Roman heritage is still felt in Western culture. There are three government agencies in the United States, similar to the Republic of Rome. The Executive Division (President) is similar to Consul General Rome. The legislature (Congress) is like the Roman Council (such as the Senate). Finally, the judiciary resembles Roman consul. After the Roman Senate, he also nominated the House of Representatives as the Senate in the United States.
The very visible legacy of the Western Roman Empire was the Roman Catholic Church. The church slowly began to replace the Western Roman system and even helped negotiate Rome security in the second half of the 5th century. Since Rome was invaded by the Germanic tribes, many people became assimilated, and in the middle of the Middle Ages (9th to 10th century AD), the central part, the western part and the northern part of Europe mostly changed to Roman Catholic faith, I recognized the Pope as a priest of Christ.
