Learning-Teaching Context

Ridgedale primary school is located in Morgantown, West Virginia. Morgantown is located along the border with Pennsylvania State, in the north-central part of West Virginia. The city of Morgantown has developed, but its inhabitants continue to explain it as a sense of maintaining their hometown. Morgantown has West Virginia University, the state's largest university. As there are such big universities and two big hospitals in town, the population of Morgantown is much larger than most towns in West Virginia. According to Morgantown's official website, more than 28,898 students are enrolled in the university.

The global context of education and learning The global context leads to the study of independence and common inquiry of our common humanity and common world postmortem. By using the world as the broadest learning environment, MYP's individuals and society can do meaningful exploration. A well-designed learning activity and evaluation will provide students with a wealth of opportunities to practice and demonstrate ATL skills. Each MYP unit clearly identifies the ATL skills centering on education and learning. And with these skills, students can truly demonstrate what they can do. Formative evaluation provides important feedback on the development of individual skills and many ATL skills support students to demonstrate their achievement in a comprehensive assessment of theme group objectives.

MYP guidance and learning includes understanding concepts in the context. The global context provides a common language for powerful context learning and identifies a specific context, event or environment that provides a more specific perspective for education and learning. When a teacher chooses a global learning environment, they answer the following questions. • Why are you participating in this survey? • Why are these concepts important? Why is it important to understand this? • Why do people care about this topic? The global context of MYP provides a common entrance to internationally conscious content and courses promoting multilingualism, intercultural understanding, and global participation. These backgrounds are based on powerful global themes, building education and learning at PYP, and creating relevance to young learners.
