Simon Oxenham covers the best and worst fields of psychology and neuroscience. Simon once wrote with a pseudonym as "neuron", but there is a history that has insulted scientific research and has torn dubious science news in rude style. Simon writes blogging for publishers including psychologists, nature, scientific American, and guardians. His work has been admired in New York Times and The Guardian and is described in Pearson 's psychology textbook as' Comment on bad science / research'.
One of the most proud moments this blog brought to me is that search phrases have resulted in "learning methods" to the latest Google reader, followed by "learning skills", and - the inspiration of this article - "Learn to learn" "My article title:" Lessons you have never taught at school: How to learn! "Read hundreds of thousands of times (much more than most of my articles) It is. Most of my readers usually come here after my regular customers share their posts on Facebook and Twitter (I always appreciate it).
The great success of this article means that the title is not exaggerated. Most of us have never really received evidence-based learning skills. If we accept the teaching skills of teaching, the content that we teach may not be supported by any research evidence in fact, we should emphasize, summarize and read these techniques I was told to be used, I passed suspicion and proved to be relatively ineffective
Now, just at Christmas, a completely free course will learn how to learn: a powerful psychological tool to help you master difficult subjects. The course offered by the University of California, San Diego is four weeks from January 2, 2015. Look at Barbara Oakley, the founder of the University of California San Diego campus, and learn how to learn science below.
If you have a problem with this Christmas, or if you missed the Christmas post, I can not think of a better (or cheaper) gift than I learn!
Footnotes: Although I have nothing to do with UC San Diego or TEDx, I was asked to advertise this course, whether they did not receive a salary - I happened to find it and chance to share it with my readers .

Do not swallow a big piece and divide it into small pieces to make yourself easy. Again, do not try to learn all aspects at the same time to complete difficult tasks. Just as you practice and learn with online courses and amal fellowship during project work, please divide your work into sections and concentrate on them. Follow this method to facilitate your learning process
Learn to learn how to learn skills. By doing so, the hourly value (learning rate) used for learning increases exponentially. Our learning rate determines the complexity of our knowledge over time Consider a person who reads and keeps books weekly rather than taking ten days to read a book. In the year, 30% of the differences were read by one person for 85 books. In order to shift our attention to overkill in money to more savvy and realistic pursuit of knowledge from being excessive, we stop thinking that we can only acquire knowledge from 5 years old to 22 years old is needed. I will work hard for the rest of our lives. In order to survive and develop in this new era, we need to keep learning.
