In 1995, I decided to volunteer as a church missionary. There is no room in the application to suggest where the world is a missionary. Church leaders assign missionaries to the places they think should go. I am surprised to be in Taiwan and speak Mandarin. I was lucky that the church provided intensive language training for two months before the missionary got into the plane, as I had not previously had Chinese nor their language experience.
My friend, Zhang Da Zhang Da, is my Chinese roommate. Everyone participating in the program has a Chinese roommate to interact with us and help us learn Chinese. My roommate is the coolest Chinese I have ever seen and we have become a wonderful friend, so I am the luckiest person in this program. We do everything together, eat, hang out, play basketball (he is better than me), and we will learn from each other. When cooking arrived, we began to eat quietly. My head quickly exploded with sweat. I had to use a napkin like a wiper to clean my eyes every ten seconds. After chewing several times, my mouth confirms to me that there is a lake of fire like hell, and I will be there soon. I suspected that terrible abuse of Zhang Da warned him and he also realized that he was also a tear, saliva and regurgitation disorder.
I have been passionate about learning Chinese from the beginning. When I attended school, I spent 10-14 hours a day immersed in that language. I tried to study Chinese in the same way as I learned English but I bought a TV box for playing Chinese TV programs on the internet. I spent hours of lessons to put together what happened during the show. A smooth road can be said to be a difficult process, but my enthusiasm and curiosity motivates me to learn new language learning highs.
