Learn, adapt, grow: three surprising aspects of college life

My experience at university is not just teaching, it is not to leave home and make new friends. This is an era of learning, adapting and growing in the area of life you have not thought of. Here are the three greatest surprises I have encountered as freshmen so far.

When I said that people studied at university and went to receive education, I said that it was obvious. But I think that learning experience is not limited to what you learned in lesson. The atmosphere of the university is the atmosphere in which you can always adapt and learn about new things about yourself, other people, and general life.

Social interaction deepens my understanding as people, friends, roommates, and students. As indigenous people of Springfield, these interactions make it possible for me to learn about new things of others, their ideas, and where they came from. Come to Evangel, you can know things outside your personal community.

The university has completely changed your sleeping habits. I have always asked college students that they never sleep, are always busy, and are doing their utmost to study the exam. For most people, these statements are correct. I personally do not "do my best", but I found it imperative to continue to stay up late. I remember filling in my housing investigation when I was preparing for the first year in Evangel and answering questions about when I was going to go to bed. My answer: It is 11 o'clock. Now that I've been working in Evangel for a couple of months I find that that time is nearly impractical. If you are a sleeping person every night, prepare for some change. When I go to bed early, I wake up at 1 o'clock or 2 o'clock in the morning. Although some adjustment is necessary for this, I think that it is part of university life now.

I have never taken a nap, so it seems that sleeping in the middle of the day did not give me any benefit. Surprised! The university changed this as well. I learned that college students like to take a nap (because they do not have enough night sleep to make sense). Regardless of the time and time you have, it does not matter, you will fight. Regarding myself, even for only 15 minutes, I will soon snore on the dorm's sofa at the most random time of the day.

Like most people, I think college will be a ticket to my independence, but that is more than I thought. Your independence goes far beyond your house. Decision making becomes even more evident, even the smallest thing. At bedtime, what do you do in your spare time, do you do homework? Even small things like buying groceries by themselves make me feel more self-reliant. You can find little by little independence on almost anything.

The university will surprise you in many ways. This is an exciting time, you will know yourself, the world, others, and most importantly you

Today, the most important feature to be absorbed into life is adaptability. The university will ensure that you learn well and how to do it! For example, in engineering course, there are eight semesters. Courses studied in one semester are often quite different from those you learned in the next semester. People tend to learn to adapt to change. Life is full of surprises, college life is ready for this. The network is very important. This network does not restrict college friends, but you can meet new professors, visiting lecturers, entrepreneurs, and external resources from the host university you visit. After several years college graduation, these are the resources you can get from regardless of whether you are a mentor or a talent hired at startup. How cool!

The university should help you learn about your future work and help you to understand the direction of life. So far, during my three year college studies, this is an important learning experience. The university taught me basic classroom knowledge and specific course knowledge. I met a new friend and moved to my apartment, and now I am doing 3 jobs ... this is excessive! I am studying this problem myself, but taking a balanced diet is very important to maintain good health. I am used to eating more than eating junk food. Based on my experience, I can tell myself that I realized that my energy level and mood differ depending on what I eat. This is related to how long I slept last night.
