Leaning Pine Arboretum

The sloping Pine Botanical Garden inclined pine botanical garden, named after a tree blown away in the storm a few years ago, is a quiet garden exhibition garden on the outskirts of the Cal Poly campus. The main purpose of the 5-acre botanic garden is to educate various kinds of plants in the student's natural environment. This botanic garden emphasizes Cal Poly's motto "Learn by learning". Students of the Horticultural Crop Science Department are the forces behind the garden and keep it up and running throughout the year.

Pinus strobus is the Latin name of White Pine. According to Morton Botanical Garden in Lisle, Illinois, it comes from an evergreen Pinaceae family of five tufts about 3 to 6 inches in length. Some internet sites of White Pine say that needle and endothelium are medicinal if tea preparation is done properly. The trunk is made of a gray wide barking bark that can grow to 50 feet tall and 20 feet wide; it was harvested with a North American colonial wooden boat mast. The best pine tree was marked as King of England and sent overseas for shipbuilding. Several historians stimulated rather than tea and taxes as the real beginning of the American revolution.

University of California Davis Botanical Garden is a botanical garden and a botanical garden. Plants around the world grow in various places in the park. A collection of famous oak and native plants, and a small redwood forest. Along the old North Fork bed in Putakuku, a small waterway running across the botanical garden is running. Occasionally, we can see the blue-birds, kingfishers, dragonflies, and unprecedented ducks around the waterways. Plant tours led by volunteer naturalists are usually conducted for elementary school students.
