These notes summarize the conversation between Office of Student Affairs and Angels Medal on leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. Here, the previous articles are provided here and here
In my last article I will address the relationship between leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. For me, they are progressing with the times. A great entrepreneur must be a great leader - in fact, there is an excellent academic evaluation to support this. Several aspects and skills of entrepreneurial spirit go beyond typical leadership training
I say that leader entrepreneurs are greatly related to their vision and purpose, not other academic details. So this is about the vocabulary
The team leader who gathered funds and volunteers to establish a school in Brazil is a social entrepreneur in my book and I doubt many people throughout the country. This applies to student organizations with almost all influence. Their leadership challenges are the same as or similar to the social entrepreneurial spirit. It is my entrepreneur and acceptance of all entrepreneurial issues that the company has to deal with, accepting Michigan's inventions and building an entity to turn them into leaders who use them all over the world there is.
Therefore, I do not think these concepts are the same, but it is a big mistake not to recognize that all of this content overlaps greatly. If we give reader entrepreneurs a vision and leadership desire, and if we focus on the student organization, we will be a better campus.
In order to compare leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, we may wish to have four aspects that were resolved before (and after Cogliser and Bringham, Vecchio): vision, impact, innovation in the context of the plan / Creativity and Leadership
Vision is an important element that encourages followers to achieve exemplary outcomes or other goal-oriented actions and organizational outcomes.
The visual attributes (simple, clear, abstract, challenging, future direction, stability and desirability or motivation) and content (growth image) are related to new risk increases. Followers need to motivate them through participation, participation, and professional mission.
The common point of many leadership definitions is the ability to influence others and achieve goals. Rational convincing power is widely used for upward, horizontal, downward effects
Entrepreneurs can not only look at opportunities but also understand methods and ways, but also organize resources to achieve their vision. Using reasonable persuasive power and emotional appeal may be effective if the request is legal and fulfills the needs of entrepreneurs and supporters.
Powerful creative people need technical expertise and creativity, using direct and indirect impact strategies
The plan has a significant impact on the performance in complex and dynamic environments where people have to coordinate their activities.
Entrepreneurs clearly need psychological awareness of future actions to predict potential reactions to strategic choices.
What is the difference between them? Entrepreneurs and leaders, or leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, are considered synonyms and mean the same thing. However, these two terms mean completely different meanings. Entrepreneurial spirit refers to a set of attributes that entrepreneurs have when they start business and practice. However, leadership is the process of providing an environment to influence people and achieve organizational goals. Therefore, leadership is entirely different from entrepreneurial spirit. Entrepreneurial spirit can be included in leadership, but entrepreneurial leadership is not included. Also please understand the difference between management team and leadership.
Read the definitions of entrepreneurship and strategy similarities and differences between leadership, entrepreneurship and leadership, the definition of entrepreneurship and strategy for me a little cold. Human taste; I do not like that in reading. Leadership is used to inspire others to take actions and informal sources of social influence. Entrepreneurial spirit in the recognition of opportunities (demand, needs, problems and issues), and the use or the creation of resources to implement a new, thought out plan of innovative ideas. The strategy is a comprehensive, external-oriented concept, which is the core of the way an organization achieves its objectives
