"Doing what you agree" is the basic motto of the contract law, "not infringing on others or their belongings" is the basic principle of criminal law and tort law. Infringement is injury to the property of others or others. This is the common point of the basic law to prevent theft, fraud, kidnapping, murder and so on. These acts are not in violation of laws and regulations promulgated by Congress, but are forbidden by the centuries-long history of common law which is the legacy of the people of this continent.
