History of Latin America The bureaucracy established in Latin America in the 16th century consists of many parts. These components include the Indian Council, Odysensia, governors and churches (lecture, 2/13). The Spanish royal family has become a stabilizing factor for each component and has strengthened the royal authorities. Each component has some responsibility that they need to maintain and these responsibilities help to check and balance the power of other bureaucracy.

History and movies in Latin America: memories, stories and nations. This course will introduce the interpretation of Latin American history movies. Discuss how filmmakers (and why) will use the movies to tell a specific story in Latin America in the past. We critically study various films dealing with historical issues and explore their views on gender and gender, imperialism, slavery, church, revolution and oppression to shape the regional history. In order to explore these topics, I will examine the movies related to academic, autobiographical, and popular text. All of these provide a variety of ways to express the past. Latin American literature has a long history, from the pre-Colombian era to the present age. In every era of Latin America's history, there was a genre that dominates the field. In this lesson we will look at the major era of Latin American literature, genres that promoted these eras, and prominent writers of Latin American literature. The Latin American literature before Colombia features the verbal tradition of Central American civilization such as Olmec, Maya, Aztec. Oral literature is often related to agriculture, myths, astronomy, political history and religion. The majority of literature is verbal, but Maya and Aztec created brush records, folded books included codes and pictures that recorded many aspects of their society.
