Brasilia: Año Nuevo in Spanish or Ano Novo in Portuguese means New Year in Latin America. New Year's Eve is definitely one of the most famous and popular parties in Latin America. Each county has its own customs and traditions and welcomes the New Year. New Year's Eve party has special appeal to Latin American, Latino Americans celebrate next year with various customs and superstitions. In Mexico, there are special beliefs and traditions (and superstitions) in New Year. In the last few days of the year, you may find them sitting on a corner or roof. These numbers represent "elañoviejo" (old days) and are burned with some firecrackers in the midnight to indicate the end of dawn, leaving past failures and regrets for a better life next year.
