The reservoir consists of a Hoover Dam and supplies water to Arizona State, Nevada State, California, and parts of Mexico, serving approximately 20 million people and large farmlands. As of August 2017, there is about 40% of the total capacity of Lake Mead and there are 10 million acres (12 square kilometers) of water. It is smaller than Powell Lake (the second largest reservoir in the US, both filled) since 2013.
Nevada Las Vegas is considered the world's casino capital. Every year in Las Vegas, about 30 million visitors, members, businessmen who frequently visit casinos are gathered. The population of the metropolitan statistical area (MSA) in Las Vegas increased from 420,000 in 1980 to 1.2 million in 1996. According to the FBI, the crime rate of Las Vegas is lower than the crime rate of almost all the major tourist destinations in the United States despite the large number of tourists and population.
The Las Vegas Strip is part of the Las Vegas strip located in southern Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada. Las Vegas Strip is known for gathering casinos and resorts including 43 story Mandalay Bay in the southwest of the illegal town of Mandalay Bay Road in Paradise.
