Language Learning in Primary Schools

Elementary schools that introduce language learning at an early stage can do it for a variety of purposes, but because of the younger age of learning, this white paper will select a contemporary foreign language (MFL) as the target program. An important document in contemporary foreign language learning discussion is Dearing's "Dearing Report: Languages ​​Review". This language evaluation is aimed at evaluating language learning in elementary and junior high schools in the UK and has a great influence on the whole of the UK. We point out that language learning such as Dilling should be part of the statutory curriculum of students 8 to 11 years old (2007). The report also discussed early language learning and referred to the early beginnings of European countries, including Dutch language learning beginning at the age of 5. Many countries have started teaching foreign languages ​​at elementary schools. To some extent, this approach shows the benefits of children learning foreign languages ​​at elementary school.
