Language and Perception

Language is a persuasive tool, but it is likely to be misleading and confusing. Disorders such as distorted euphemisms, abbreviations, technical terms, illogicals, and cliches can distort the meanings of words and phrases (Kirby et al., 1999, p. 92). The most powerful language ability is understanding and effective communication. Being able to clearly convey ideas to each other can strengthen and open new ideas and opinions. The ability to copy this information to someone in some way leads to persuasive power.

Abstract: Natural language processing involves a close relationship between behavior (language generation) and perception (language understanding). We believe that similar theoretical principles generally apply to language processing and behavior / perception as well. Language generation is not only driven by speaker's intention, language understanding is not only input driven, but production and perception use a common representative. We will associate the latest knowledge of our language production laboratory with the feature binding principle of event coding theory (TEC).

Speech recognition is the process of listening, interpreting, and understanding speech in a language. Speech perception research is closely related to phonetics and phonetics in linguistic and cognitive psychology and perception in psychology. Speech perception research aims to understand how human listeners recognize speech and understand the spoken language using this information. Speech perception research can be used to build computer systems that recognize speech, improve speech recognition for listeners with hearing and speech impairment, and teach foreign languages.
