Lack of Pride and Insight Cause Downfall of Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex

Everyone has some characteristics to define him, but not everyone is good. If he is not careful, certain features may lead to his downfall. This is a tragedy of Sophocles, Oedipus incident in Oedipus Rex. Unfortunately, Oedipus has several personality traits that allow him to achieve God and suffer tremendous pain. Pride, impulsive behavior, and lack of edeps insight eventually decided his fate. First of all, one of the main factors leading to the fate of Edepus is what he is proud of.

Sophocles' play, Oedipus Rex is probably one of the greatest tragedies ever. This is a story about the collapse of a man. When the drama began, Edips was a respected king, respected and admired by his people. At the end of the story, Edipus' s name is a curse. This is due to his arrogance. Unfortunately, the fatal blend of anger and pride brought by Oedipus. People with this pride believe that they are above the gods, so the Greeks believe that this sin is the most serious. Edepus has committed this crime. As a proud person, Edips does not listen to anything, and this pride will eventually lead to his predicable Edpsus which leads to his downfall. It is through his influence on his personality and his reasoning and decision that Edepus' fate is realized. Often, it is too easy for Edps to draw a conclusion, and it receives unreasonable guidance.

According to Aristotle, the protagonist of the tragedy must have a tragic flaw that ultimately causes his destruction. It is his pride that King Oedipus of Sochikles' Oedipus caused his tragedy. When he left the adopted parents at Cornice, the second was that he opposed Kryon, and the third was when Oedipus asked the messenger to tell him who his real parents are I know what it is.
