Our program enables students to work in the labor movement, government, nonprofit organization and corporate world, becoming change leaders and activists. Labor research is a cross-sectoral plan. In other words, in addition to the labor research program, students can also take courses in history, sociology and economics. As a result, students receive extensive training on solid liberal arts education and practical aspects of labor research.

Our labor research program was founded in 1977. CSUDH is the sole four-year university in Southern California that can receive state support and offers a bachelor's degree in art in this field. The CSUDH labor survey was designed to work with community college programs such as the Los Angeles Institute of Technology (LATTC), the University of Los Angeles Harbor (Harbor), East Los Angeles University (ELAC), with the support of state and local labor leaders It has been. Under the SJCC Labor Survey Program, please better understand the history and function of organized labor in the United States. Labor survey occupations and certificates provide training to trade unions and labor union private companies and students who are interested in human resources management careers sponsored by local governments and state governments. Graduates are ready to work for unions, labor, social justice related NGOs and other nonprofit organizations. Students can cooperate with local government, state, national or international organizations in these fields. In the non-union private sector, graduates can work in areas related to corporate social responsibility, code of conduct, and corporate governance.
