Korean History: The Choson People

According to the legend, in 2333 BC, the creator's grandson Tan established the Korean kingdom, or "fresh morning", the Korean people began. By the establishment of the Joseon Dynasty (1392 - 1910), Buddhism was replaced by Chinese New Confucianism. Under conservative Confucian formalism, Korean art declined steadily in early Joseon era.
