Miles Davis, a legendary jazz musician and composer, was great for his devotion to the craft. From his autobiography (emphasizing me):
"A lot of old people think ... ... When you learn from the theory you will lose playful. It does not seem that they all like Bird, Prez, Bean, all those cats.I am a museum And I will not go to the library to borrow music so they can see what happened I went to the library to rent a score for all the great composers such as Stravinsky, Albenberg, Prokofi I want to know all the music that has happened, knowledge is freedom, ignorance is slavery, someone can not approach freedom, I can not use it. "
Thanks to the love of music and the theory behind the music, even if the fashion style changes, Davis can always invent itself himself.
There is no difference in design. Many ambitious designers are distracted by pop style. Should they be flat? Should they use parallax scrolling? These questions are usually assumed to be part of a style command, not as a result of solving a specific problem with a specific philosophy.
If you truly desire to be able to withstand a variety of tasks even if the design (or any process) and technology changes truly, you need to understand the theory behind the design.
Some people think that they can solve the problem. If they try to copy the latest trends, they will eventually become wonderful designers.
If they are truly talented and terribly devoted, they may be right. But whatever the latest trend, there are lots of things on the surface. It just combines the same factor - different inputs - together. Learn to think yourself more effectively by carefully studying the work of myriad other people who solved a similar problem in front of you.
With visual design, you can not even "borrow score" or even "observe source". I wrote a book that tried to unveil the hidden theory behind the design. I also have a free e-mail course that can give you a taste.
However, given the dynamics between ignorance and knowledge, I do not think that all knowledge evolves from the state of lack of knowledge (ignorance). Is not that ignorance of the mother of knowledge? It is not bad to be able to attract new knowledge with ignorance and ignorance. This is my ignorance and always removes new knowledge.
Ignorance is a lack of knowledge. The term "ignorance" is an adjective that is in an unknown state and that can express an individual who deliberately ignores or ignores important information or facts, or an individual who does not know important information or facts. Ignorance can occur in three different types: fact ignorance (lack of understanding of certain facts), object ignorance (lack of understanding of specific objects), and technical ignorance (knowledge of how to do something lack of)
Ignorance is power, the first of the three is contradictory. If you are ignorant, how do they have self-defense knowledge in certain situations dealing with politics and society if they do not have intelligence? Ignorance is helpless. But in 1984, ignorance was actually power. To the extent you do not know about the party and brother, you will be better and safer. Learn more, then you are told by the party that it is a crime and you will be punished severely. The second contradiction is that freedom is slavery. Your first thought is "How can you be a slave and have freedom?" In 1984, people of society got freedom of thought, but they were taught "I do not think". So freedom they get is meaningless. Therefore freedom is slavery. The third contradiction is that war is peaceful. If the three states are frequently in war state, how can they be able to go together peacefully? The answer is that Oceania, East Asia, Eurasia are all their own!
American freedom is hypocritical, and many people think that they can ignore them. The incompatibility between revolutionary ideals and slavery was recognized by the earliest founder and even by Shaper in the country. The draft "Declaration of Independence" states that slavery violates the "most sacred right to life and freedom" of mankind. Of course, this was written by someone with hundreds of slaves. Even if the southern colonies slaughter, they will not join the new country, so this problem will be left behind and treated later. After all, we did a war, but still it was not enough. Since then, the United States was in an equitable state, but for every additional inches, one party thinks the situation is not bad now, that is enough. However, this alone is insufficient. Men like the influence of J. Z. George is now furious even in this country.
