This page covers the two most important concepts, knowledge and freedom, and funny stories that a responsible scientist must consider. The original page is here - so that some of my colleagues "did not like" theoretical physics laboratory at Wroclaw University. So I replaced it here with something. However, as a scientist, I could not agree with the limitations of illogical freedom that expressed my personal opinion. So they are here.
Bertrand Russel quoted Nooms (1972c) 's Chomsky on the issue of knowledge and freedom. London: Pantheon. :
"... ... All moral culture is independent of the inner life of the soul, which can only be stimulated in human nature, but not through external or artificial creation.
Whatever happens from a person's free choice, or simply from the result of teaching and guidance, he will not enter into his presence, yet he does not agree with his true nature and he expresses It does not use real human energy, but is expressed with mechanical precision. "
"At the same time, there are other goals in the world where we exist, but it disappears and disappears in a passionate flame: the new world full of new hope, the light of hope from its ashes. Morning eyes "
"But everyone who is not a madman will agree with a specific thing, to live better than to live, to eat better than to starve, to be better than a slave, for many of us to have themselves and their friends We are satisfied with these things and these people can be challenged by science: man is becoming a family, we guarantee our own prosperity unless insurance is given to others I can not do it, I am happy for others
Whether science can last and whether it will last or not, whether it can be done better than harm depends on the ability of the human to learn this simple lesson. Perhaps everyone should learn it, but it must be learned by everyone with powerful power, and some people still have a long way to go.
(2) If I succeed, then becoming immortal and superintelligent will be the first step in an infinite ladder. My goal is not pursuing knowledge and freedom, not eternal life or supernatural intelligence. No matter how powerful we are, the universe will offer a new and interesting challenge. After 500 years, I would like to create a super glider like the size of the solar system to simulate a black hole. Or, considering the speed of delay of optical communication, devise a method to construct coherent interstellar civilization. Interestingly, there are millions of years of exploration prospects. Life will never be boring. My real goal is unlimited
Let's see the history of science. Traditional wisdom thinks that pursuit of knowledge is only good. Science is the pursuit of knowledge and the maiden of freedom. The more science and knowledge we possess, the more prosperous the individual is and the more society has more freedom. This is our view after Galileo was persecuted. Of course, in the past, people believed that scientific truth is not the only truth. There are truths through revelation. That is the truth of God's book. When you visit the place called The Linx in Italy, you can see a room where Galileo suggests a theory on how solid material falls into the liquid medium. He explained that certain forms fall faster than others.
The truth is not knowledge. What knowledge does the world has and how much has it been achieved in freedom? Knowledge will not let you free, and it will not allow you to live in the freedom God created for us. Yes, we can get to know things, but our knowledge only restricts what we know about the world. But by the truth we can not only know what the world knows but also know our minds and thoughts. Truth brings revelation. Jesus is the Son of God, revealed to us by flesh and blood. He is the truth. But do we know him?
