Snakes live in various habitats such as forests, wetlands, grasslands, deserts, and fresh salt water. Some people are active at night, others are active during the day. Snakes are predators and eat various animals, including rodents, insects, eggs and young birds. Since snakes are cold-blooded, it is necessary to move to an appropriate environment in order to regulate body temperature.
